Miss Hargreaves - winners!!

How lovely to have so many people enter the draw for Miss Hargreaves and the bookmarks. 60 people in total, since I had to excise the two Anonymouses... I do hope you've been inspired to go and read the book, even for those who weren't lucky enough to win today...

Enough suspense. Drum roll, please... the winners are:

Liz!! (of this blog) and fleurfisher!! (of this blog)

The Bloomsbury Group bookmarks go to...

Cornflower!! (of this blog)

I've turned out to be very lucky, since I'm going to see Liz and Cornflower face-to-face... so fleurfisher, could you send me your address, to simondavidthomas @

There were too many names for me to write them all down and get Patch to pick, so instead I made use of the randomiser on, and used the names at the bottom of the list.

If you do review Miss Hargreaves, do send me a link to your review - or, if you don't have a blog, I'd be happy to post Miss Hargreaves-related thoughts on here, from anyone. Or pop a review on Amazon, of course.

  1. Congratulations to all the winners!

  2. Ooh, I do love those bookmarks, from where can they be obtained?

  3. I don't know where the bookmarks are available, I'm afraid... I think they might be in some bookshops? Mine were sent by Bloomsbury.

  4. Congratulations to the winners!
I am expecting a bout of flu to catch up on some reading in bed; Miss Hargreaves will definitely feature.

    I wonder if Bloomsbury would be willing to share the bookmark love? I covet them;

  5. Congratulations all the winners! I didn't enter this one as I have an old Penguin of Miss Hargreaves knocking about at home and I am fully intending on reading it very soon.

Claire I was thinking just the same today...flu is going round at work and if I get it next week I don't even mind; it will give me an opportunity to read uninterrupted!

  6. Congratulations to the winners, you're in for a treat!

  7. What a wonderful way to brighten a grey Friday - thank you so much!

  8. Sorry I didn't win but I did just order the book from Abe. It will be coming from Norwich, UK to Mesa, Arizona, US.

And since I will be at Oxford next summer I will be sure to check-out the little theatre.

  9. Congratulations to the very lucky winners! As for me, I'll probably cave and buy Miss Hargreaves as soon as my book buying ban allows me.

  10. I never win anything on blogs! Woooohoooooo!! Plus I'm super-excited to read the book :).

I've now moved to, and all my old posts are over there too - do come and say hello :)

I probably won't see your comment here, I'm afraid, but all my archive posts can also be found at
