Oh, Karen! And with your eye for excellent prose, I'm sure you'd love her. If you fancy heartwarming, go The Summer Book; for beautifully stark short stories, A Winter Book, and for something a bit sinister, The True Deceiver.
I somehow managed to have a Moomin bypass in my childhood, but loved The Summer Book, so all is not lost! Planning to read A Winter Book next but Life, Art, Words looks interesting too - look forward to hearing what you think of it
Me tooo! I've just treated myself to it... looking forward to the SiaB review xx
ReplyDeleteWe should definitely compare notes!
DeleteI confess I've *never* read any Jansson (*runs away and hides*). Any suggestions on a good place to start?
