  2. I confess I've *never* read any Jansson (*runs away and hides*). Any suggestions on a good place to start?

    1. Oh, Karen! And with your eye for excellent prose, I'm sure you'd love her. If you fancy heartwarming, go The Summer Book; for beautifully stark short stories, A Winter Book, and for something a bit sinister, The True Deceiver.

  3. I somehow managed to have a Moomin bypass in my childhood, but loved The Summer Book, so all is not lost! Planning to read A Winter Book next but Life, Art, Words looks interesting too - look forward to hearing what you think of it

    1. I also bypassed the Moomins in my youth, so all is definitely not lost! I hope you love A Winter Book - I certainly did.
