Well, last Sunday I posted a new track from an artist who hasn't even released an album yet (although she has found fame on the X Factor) and nobody commented, so I thought I'd try something different this week ;)
It's rare that I like old male bands (new female singer-songwriters being my bag) but I do like the Eagles, and I love Desperado... and I suspect you do too. Indulge.
Thank you, I indulged!
ReplyDeleteIf you're experimenting with old male bands, how about The Byrds? Sweetheart of the Rodeo is a lovely album, with Gram Parsons joining them. Speaking of whom, try to hear him singing with Emmylou Harris. Beautiful. Try this on YouTube.
This brought back memories of 18 th birthday parties which always see,ed to include this. An odd choice I thought. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteAhhh. Windows down, driving around the lake on a summer evening, Eagles playing in the car. Yes, many memories here (although Seven Bridges Road is my personal Eagles favorite - have "indoctrinated" my kids so that it is a family favorite sing-along in the car - harmony is rich with all 6 of us :) ).
ReplyDeleteI agree, Susan. Brilliant 'drive' music - the miles fly by. Thanks, Simon.
DeleteLovely!
