Who Was Changed and Who Was Dead by Barbara Comyns
I'm over at Vulpes Libris today, sharing my love of the glorious Who Was Changed and Who Was Dead (1954) - which is also, shockingly, my first addition to A Century of Book in 2015. And a re-read at that...
Very interesting, I just had to check further into it, as it's new to me. What a long but catchy pull me in read the title is! How dark it does get and even was banned in Ireland long ago! Sounds quite fun, and I'll have to check out other titles by Barbara too!. Thanks for sharing this.
Oh, are you doing it all again and in one year? I'm not half way through my ("organic") one yet and am fighting obsession - I did get rather annoyed to discover I already had 1948 the other day!
Turned the last page not ten minutes ago and absolutely loved it! Reading this story reminded me of how I felt reading fairy tales as a child...it's like a wonderful bedtime story for grown-ups. And how well-timed is your wonderful review?!
Wonderful!.....Barbara Comyns is my very favourite writer of anyone.

I love this book. Thank you for being the one to introduce me to it a few years ago!
