Song for a Sunday

A while ago I thought to myself, "I bet I would like a singer who would name their album Happenstance." And so I searched to see if any artist had, and came across Rachael Yamagata - my reasoning was not wrong; I did like Rachael. I especially like this song, 'Worn Me Down'. Enjoy your Bank Holiday weekend!

  1. Now that is Spooky - Happenstance was playing in the background as I read your post. And then when I wandered off to find a video for the song playing I found that some clever soul had set it against clips from Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. So I feel a post coing on. And I congratulate you on your excellent taste!

  3. Thanks for posting the song, Simon. Have you heard Yamagata's Elephants (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOBwWnoNI6U) or Sunday Afternoon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csYXGF9O0To&feature=relmfu)? Sunday Afternoon even uses the word happenstance!

  4. Jane - spooky indeed!!

Darlene - I love these little coincidences...

Virginia - I have indeed! I've listened to all her stuff on Spotify - Elephants is very different, in terms of tempo, but equally lovely.
