It seems that everyone who reads her quietly raves about the beauty of her prose. I love the cover of the new edition you have - there is no question about it, having a well-designed and tactile edition of a book does enhance the reading experience.Annabel (gaskella)http://gaskella.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-30284207128475738112012-07-26T23:01:58.034+01:002012-07-26T23:01:58.034+01:00Brilliant, Simon - so glad you loved her as much a...Brilliant, Simon - so glad you loved her as much as I did! She is spectacular but like you say, not in a way you can necessarily quote - she just IS consistently marvellous, with an effortlessly beautiful writing style. I loved loved loved the experience of reading this. I want to read it again actually!

And the book itself is lovely, yes..just so tactile and the front cover...gorgeous. I adored A Favourite of the Gods, enthusiastically began on A Legacy and ground to a halt about 60 pages in. It felt like it had been written by a different author. But then it may be I was not in the right place and time for it (I feel there ought to be a term for this, so you could say, I'm calling the Tenth Amendment on this one, or something similar). I've hesitated to start Jigsaw ever since.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-2789518571225913352012-07-26T04:02:45.334+01:002012-07-26T04:02:45.334+01:00I am not sure if the story is in my line of intere...I am not sure if the story is in my line of interest but the book cover and your review definitely make it temptingVipulahttp://shadesofwords09.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
