I do my best to get my books back on time, but sometimes returning library books is the thing that has to give! Thanks, Dark Puss, for the insight into the true nature of library fines. I appreciated it!Jo Mhttp://bookreadingbookworm.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-22762886416699997322010-04-18T10:09:53.517+01:002010-04-18T10:09:53.517+01:00I can't believe either that it's the weeke...I can't believe either that it's the weekend again and over a week since we shared a lovely afternoon together.

The Loved One is a wonderfully eccentric and darkly humorous read and I highly recommend it.

I took a note of that blog link when I saw it on facebook; from a quick look so far, it looks like one that I will love.Paperback Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14579608422235511054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-27123919109023441122010-04-17T20:44:00.122+01:002010-04-17T20:44:00.122+01:00Thank you SO much for the blog link! As chair of my University Library User Group we discuss fines on a regular basis and never use them to increase the income stream. The library (and its users) actually want the books back on time not the money! I think you should feel some remorse that other people are having to wait for their books.Dark Pussnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-90394999003809783182010-04-17T03:14:16.814+01:002010-04-17T03:14:16.814+01:00A classicist friend of mine, Erling B.
