It's a little quieter than P&P and a little less overtly laugh-out-loud funny, but it's my second favorite of JA's. I absolutely love it. And it is funny, too.

Now, the one I don't like is Emma. I ought to go back and re-read that one, to be convinced...Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00251983804060081813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-58125511627621242272008-06-05T10:11:00.000+01:002008-06-05T10:11:00.000+01:005000yrs ago a book called Vigyan Bhairav Tantra wa...5000yrs ago a book called Vigyan Bhairav Tantra was written. This book attempts to describe something indescribable. Something beyond the imagination. Called Nirvana or Enlightenment by other religions. Translated into modern language it could be interpreted as one billion orgasms. In the book there are 112 techniques to reach this thing called Enlightenment. The techniques involve every day things you can do from having sex to walking the dog. See Osho's "Book of Secrets" for explanations of the techniques.

www.truenewspaper.blogspot.comTrue Newspaperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04080543424313233175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-27059660234233878052008-05-29T21:16:00.000+01:002008-05-29T21:16:00.000+01:00I love re-reading books and always enjoy Jane Aust...I love re-reading books and always enjoy Jane Austen re-reads. I also enjoyed Persuasion very much when 18 so age is not necessarily a barrier - though it does take a bit longer to get into than the others.

My favourite re-read is Middlemarch though I didn't enjoy it as much first time round as I did Austen, but it just gets better now, each time.Juxtabookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17102279698993288454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-63942386966681988342008-05-29T09:07:00.000+01:002008-05-29T09:07:00.000+01:00You really should read Persuasion, it's wonderful!...You really should read Persuasion, it's wonderful! I've not read any Jane for a while now, I think I should.

Also - read your post on the great HP - damn you! I'm at work and just reading the words 'dobby' and 'death' have caused me to well up like a fool. I remember crying over Peter's death too (the way it happened) and not being able to explain why to my mother!GlassCurlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07006992143355408956noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-9208689206748762982008-05-29T07:47:00.000+01:002008-05-29T07:47:00.000+01:00I can feel a serious Jane-Fest coming on. I have been watching film versions all year with just Northanger Abbey to go to finish that project so it's time to settle down to some reading. Can't wait!Petahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03269614153944571970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-6898429815842231232008-05-29T07:19:00.000+01:002008-05-29T07:19:00.000+01:00Well I'm at least twice your age so I'm definitely...Well I'm at least twice your age so I'm definitely old enough. maybe I should read it for you.
