My girls have a book club with their friends, but we've decided to have a "family book club" with "just us girls" -- our first selection is Miss Hargreaves. I can't wait to see what they think of her. :)Susan in TXhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09550766549670690646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-59840262542767548222013-02-27T21:27:22.454+00:002013-02-27T21:27:22.454+00:00Your post was wonderful and funny...just what I ha...Your post was wonderful and funny...just what I have come to expect from you. I was surprised at the inclusion of Sense & Sensibility, however. Not because it is Austen (and BTW I am with you on not loving Persuasion and Mansfield Park, but the day may come when I change my mind too). Rather, I would have thought you would have included Edith Oliver’s The Love Child...along with DoaPL and Miss Hargreaves. In fact, you are responsible for many of the books I have bought in the past year. I'm glad to hear that 'Sense and Sensibility'is your favourite Austen--It's mine too, though I am planning to reread 'Persuasion' soon. I like 'Pride and Prejudice', and always enjoy returning to Emma and Mr. Knightley, but there is something about Eleanor's strength of character that makes this book the best for me. And I have visited so many book shops and websites here in India hoping to find a copy of Provincial Lady, but have always been bitterly disappointed. Your post about your multiple Provincial Lady copies left me quite jealous :) I've acquired a lot of great books on your recommendation. Keep up the good work! -- SharanyaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-446727280609751914.post-12752882051417774222013-02-27T08:54:30.205+00:002013-02-27T08:54:30.205+00:00"classics to erotica"
