Some Tame Gazelle - postscript

Following on from my review of Some Tame Gazelle, below... I'm too late to enter Thomas's competition for designing your own Barbara Pym cover (it closed on 7 June) and nothing can compare to the beautiful Moyer Bell designs he posts here, but I couldn't resist giving it a go anyway.  And I only have MS Paint to work with...

  1. I love your ecclesiastical cover, Simon, very appropriate. Even better if you could have combined it with some teacups.

    1. Thanks Vicki! I thought I'd try to take a leaf out of Moyer Bell's books (not literally... that would be appalling!)

  3. I like the teacups a lot Simon - much nicer than the silly modern Virago ones and the vintage-style patterns are much more in keeping with how I imagine Belinda and Harriet's taste in decor!

  4. They are all wonderful... it's very hard to choose! I suppose that's why I have multiple editions of so many books ;-)

  5. Very nice! You certainly have better design skills than I :) I really like the teacups, but then I always like teacups. The ecclesiastical repeat is very interesting also. The last one reminds me of some large print books in my library right now... Glad you decided to give it a try.

    1. Yours were wonderful Melwyk! AND you entered before the deadline ;)

Teacups are the best, aren't they? Well, so is wisteria. But it did come out looking a bit large print edition...
